All heroes have an origin story.

Years ago, we had a big idea: to put our heads together with some of the best agricultural minds in New York State and develop apple varieties with flavor profiles consumers really want. So we looked to the Ivy League, and ended up with two varieties that are truly in a league of their own. In partnership with Cornell University, Crunch Time released SnapDragon and RubyFrost to the public in 2013. Both varieties were born using centuries-old hand-worked agricultural techniques that take years of cultivation.
